Help Others By Hosting Fundraising Art Auctions

By Marissa Velazquez

Many good Samaritans are helping the needy by holding fundraising art auctions that will benefit humanitarian efforts all over the globe. Some of the monies earned from these affairs will be used to fund projects in a far away land that will teach locals how to build a water supply system. Other funds that are gathered will be used to provide the delivery of water and food to impoverished countries.

Many celebrities will offer personal items that event promoters can sell at a good price during an auctioning event. The cause that the auction sales will support is important to the celebrity for whatever reason. The athlete may hail from a neighborhood surrounded by poverty and by donating an item, it could mean that neighborhood children no longer have to play in the streets.

Through silent auctioning events, people can bid to win a once in a lifetime experience. No risk is taken from the money amounts written down during a gala affair, and all visitors will have a chance to win an item that they have a true interest in. Some adventurers will have great fun when bidding for a chance to win a spot on a planned trip aboard a shuttle to the moon, or just to outer space.

A lot of interest will be generated by the listing of works that are rarely offered. These items could be the sole reason that certain bidders chose to attend the event. Other items will grab the attention of aristocratic bidders because many would like to own aged bottles of wine and rare blends of rum and bourbon.

Every bidder has their own viewpoint on what constitutes an art form and will readily bid on items that warm their heart. People will gather in a variety of places to participate in the auction. Often the paintings sold will be displayed at a local gallery and the buyer is able to take immediate possession.. The attendees of these gala events will often have to show an invitation to gain entry into the space.

Excitement will begin to build when the bidding starts, and the pace will vary on items placed in silent bids on the sidelines of some events. Event planners know that some items will not sell at all due to the high prices that are in place as the reserve price. Those items will be carried on to other charity events with the hopes that the selling price will be met.

Some people that own more than one piece of art by a renown artist will try to talk to an owner and make an offer before the bidding craze starts. These tactics will not normally work because all of the proceeds are destined to help charities and participation will leave the people that donate from the heart with a cleansing and rewarding feeling.

Fundraising art auctions will create ready cash for many causes. Some support groups will schedule these events on the same date, year after year. The gatherings are a good way for people to get together and have an enjoyable evening while helping other people achieve noteworthy goals. All money totals for an event will be the mark that is used to set the goals for the next event.
