Churches play an important part in providing facilities to the congregation with most churches being communally owned. They act as places where volunteering activities can take place and people can be counseled on issues affecting the society which include; homelessness, drug abuse, finances and debt, parenting and health. Church financing is thus essential as it improves the facilities that are available for the community.

Important amenities such as catering and toilets have to present to ensure that the community remains integrated into the church as well as ease of access by the public. To avoid under using of the resources available, the above needs to be done in order to meet the necessities of this community.

Another benefit for funding for churches is seen when repairs are done on damaged property to enable the building serve its purpose better. As soon as the repair activities are over, the community can come together and discuss issues affecting them as well as spending time together. For a church to hold conferences, there ought to be necessary facilities such as those of holding catering operations.

There are two broad categories of funding namely; internal and external. For the internal one, it wholly relies in the commitment on the congregation to give and raise funds. A request for regular donations on a monthly basis can be run by the leaders which depends on peoples focus towards the goals. Members can also organize their own activities that they can do individually to raise funds such as singing and marathons.

Members can also do auctioning of promises which involves offering of services or skills that could be any activity such as babysitting and baking. The internet can be helpful when people come up with online giving systems which make use of slogans. This can be a way of getting the information out there and increase the funding circle.

Moreover, Offering of paid services to people such as ironing, cleaning, washing and cooking can help raise funds too. Members of the congregation selling their unwanted items with one member managing the sales on behalf of everyone can also be used. In some instances, disposing of a building that is owned by the community can be done. Sometimes members of a community could be having access to capital that they are willing to lend at very low or no interest at all.

Foe external funding, grants form the largest proportion without overlooking the fact that they have a lot of paper work. The giving organizations always demand to see substantial progress through direct giving to ensure that the community is also serious with the project. Companies can offer to fund the ministry if they happen to have an interest in a specific building.

The net of the money to be collected can be increased by the church organizing events that will involve other members of the public other than the congregation. National lotteries are used though not very common due to their controversial nature hence the need of thinking over the matter together. A loan can also be secured by the church that should have a payment period of between 10 to 25 years.
